Danielle Reed Wigfall was born in Chicago, IL and showed a passion for performing at the age of three. She is classically trained in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, African Aesthetics, and Salsa. At age eight she began her dance career performing in Ruth Page’s Nutcracker and later danced with the Joffrey Ballet. She also trained at the Dmitri Roudnev School and later with Homer Bryant at the Chicago Multicultural Dance Center. She was a principal dancer for Pasos Latinos and performed at the World Salsa Congress in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Danielle has been modeling and acting since the age of 8. She’s done films, commercials, print ads, plays, and improvisation. She has performed Hip Hop for Fox Family Channel and has been a cover model for Leo’s Dancewear and Illinois Theatrical Catalogs. She also modeled for American Girl and was recognized in Ebony magazine. She graduated Honors from Pomona College with a double major in Psychology and Dance. Most recently she performed as an aerialist/dancer for Tokyo DisneySea and then traveling around the world as a dancer/character performer for Disney Cruise Line.
She loves entertaining others because it is one way she can give back to others using the blessings God has given her. Danielle started a production company that toured around different nursing and elderly homes because she wanted people who couldn’t come out to her shows to be able to enjoy a show brought to them and let them know they are well appreciated and never forgotten. “I love seeing others smile or when people feel touched by my work, because it lets me know that the sacrifices I’ve made were well worth it.”
Danielle has been influenced by Michael and Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Mary J. Blige, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Missy Elliot, Christina Aguilera, Carrie Underwood, Celine Dion and Aaliyah to name a few. “I don’t have a favorite because I like different characteristics about tons of performers and artists that I have came across, I love dissecting and analyzing the performances.”
She has been heavily influenced, inspired, pushed, and supported by her parents, family, and husband. “There were too many times I wanted to throw my ballet pointe shoes in the trash knowing I was going to be on my toes for a 5 hour rehearsal, but they never let me and for that I am overly thankful.” God blesses you so you can bless others. – Mom
